Brandon Mark Duran Ironworks/sheet metal Brandon Mark Duran, born June 24, 1980, passed away Aug. 7, 2012. He was preceded in death by his father Mark R. Duran, his grandfather Jerome F. Duran of Cimarron, and his grandmother Maria Elliott of San Diego.
He is survived by his son Brandon, mother Cyndi Wear, stepfather Dane, stepbrother Garrett (Aida), aunt Kim Elliott, all of San Diego; grandmother Josephine Duran, aunt Yvonne Enloe and husband Chuck, uncle Jerry Duran, all of Cimarron; extended family from Angel Fire, stepmother Sheryl Janati, stepsisters Cathy Grissom (Jason), Misty and Michelle, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Brandon was active in many sports growing up: Little League, BMX?racing, snowboarding, golf, hockey, bicycle and motorcycle riding. He was educated and mastered in ironworks and sheet metal as his trade, working in Arizona, Las Vegas, Nev., and San Diego.
For all of Brandon’s friends and family in California, there will be a Mass at St. Michael’s Church in Poway, Calif., Friday, Sept. 14, at 11 a.m. and a paddle-out Sept. 15 at noon in Pacific Beach, Calif.
For friends and family of Brandon in New Mexico, there will be a memorial service at St. Mel’s in Eagle Nest Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow immediately after. Help us celebrate the life of a great man and father.
